Q. How do I set up additional e-mail accounts?
A.
Additional Port One Internet Email accounts may be purchased for only $1.00 per month. Please call us to purchase additional email boxes.

Q. What are pop Locks?
A. Sometimes when you check your e-mail you may get error message saying you have a pop lock. This can be caused by checking your e-mail twice very quickly. When you check your e-mail you are dialing into the pop server so you have to wait for your connection to be closed before you can try to make another connection to the pop server. This connection will take a longer time to disconnect if you have a lot of e-mail messages waiting for you on the server.

Pop locks will usually clear themselves if you wait for 15 or 20 minutes before you check your e-mail again.

If you are still experiencing a problem after 20 minutes please call PortONE Internet for technical support at 1.877.PORTONE

Q. Why is my mailbox over quota?

A. There are a couple of possible reasons that your mailbox has exceeded its maximum capacity:

1) The Email program you are using may have an option to leave mail on the server enabled. If this is the case, your mail continues to accumulate until your mailbox exceeds the maximum amount of storage space.

2) You may have received message(s) with large attachment(s) that can quickly fill your Email mailbox.

Q. How can I leave mail on the server so I can retrieve mail in multiple locations?
A. Let's say you're using an Email program at home ( i.e., Outlook Express or Netscape Mail) to retrieve your Email, and you would like to be able to view the same messages at the office. You will need to select the option in your Email program at home to "leave messages on the server".
